Seaside Restaurant
 
At Island Sunset Resort, every dining experience is special. The casual elegance of the ocean front Dining Room is a beautiful location for you to enjoy a wide variety of elegant meals.
 
Darrell Hebb, Executive Chef will ensure excellent quality and presentation. The Chef's specialties are Black Angus Strip Loin, Prime Rib, Rack of Lamb, Pasta and Fresh Local Seafood. 
 

Whether you are a resort guest, a local or if you are just passing through for a fine meal, you are welcome to visit our Dining Room from 4pm each evening to dine with us. The Seaside Restaurant is open daily mid June until mid September. From mid September to mid October the restaurant is open Thursday to Sunday.

Cedar Planked Salmon
  • Glazed with Margaree Maple, slow baked and topped with grilled leek
Black Angus Strip Loin
  • 10oz charbroiled with roasted Portabella mushrooms and a Gorgonzola demi-glaze

Haddock and Lobster

  • 7oz fillet pan fried, topped with fresh Lobster and finished with a dill cream sauce

"We thoroughly enjoyed three nights at Island Sunset and should have stayed longer. From the comfortable cottages with the magnificent view of the ocean, watching the owner Wayne and his men building a dock, chatting and laughing with them, then Wayne inviting us to tour his lobster warehouse operations, welcoming smiles at the front desk, watching the sunset from your own porch in comfy Adirondack chairs, to the amazing lobster and crab dinners from the Lobster Pound - where you can feast on two lobsters one night and a lobster and pound of crab meat on the next night for a total of only $35 per person - total for both nights! Prepared and delivered with a smile to your personal cottage!! Oh, yes, the desserts from the Restaurant - big and deliciously decadent! The only place we will stay on Cape Breton.
